The penultimate day and the weather was proper rubbish. Thick dark low cloud, fog & cold all day. If there were views to be seen, I didn’t see them. (Hardly any photos)

Ideally I’d wanted to dry out my sleeping bag, but no chance of that. I didn’t even really want to stop for lunch for long as it was so cold. There were a few big climbs but they are all now behind me. I only have 800ft of climbing (total) left to the border.

My head torch battery/bulb is broken so I can’t hike in the dark, so the earliest I can leave camp is 7am, hoping to get there for about midday. Also hoping for better weather tomorrow.

And to top it all tonight a bloody mouse has chewed 2 holes in my amazing tent and I don’t know how to stop it. Don’t think I’m gonna get much sleep.
